Poem: You lost me

You lost me

You lost me one fine morning
while we were in bed
I realized that you didn't love me
from all the those little things you didn't share

I was devastated at first,
I have to admit
Then, this feeling of limitless freedom
took me by the hand

You lost me one fine morning
When I was telling you my day
When you didn't do anything
While I was whispering my fears
You just blinked and changed the tv channel.

I was devastated at first,
but then I realized that
we were two strangers that were dancing a lazy tango.
No passion at all, just the slight idea we had the moves

You lost me one fine morning
Your lips didn't touch mine
You were cold and bitter
and pieces of white glass were on my face
making me cry

I was devastated at first,
but soon I realized that in life
You have to move on
Find love again
In someone else's eyes.
